Four Days of Connection, Strategy and Culture With the Outposter Team
I recently spent four days in Manila, and this trip was a special one. After around three months of remote collaboration through video calls, messages and shared documents, spending two full days in the Outposter office in Ortigas with my team member Krisha reinforced how valuable early in person time is for building trust, alignment and clarity.
Two of my core values are connection and prosperity, and this trip was a reminder of how closely the two work together. Strong relationships lead to clearer communication, smoother collaboration and meaningful progress. When the foundation is strong, prosperity becomes possible for individuals, teams and the business as a whole.
A Busy and Energising Two Days in the Office
Across the two office days, I spent time in a one to one session with Krisha, worked through on site strategy discussions, reviewed workflows in detail and caught up with the wider Outposter team. We also held team conversations to align on upcoming priorities.

Meeting Krisha in person was a key part of the visit. We have collaborated remotely for close to three months, and sitting together in the same space made it easier to map out ideas, plan what comes next and build a stronger working rhythm
Krisha’s Early Impact
Since Krisha joined, our Instagram performance has grown significantly, now reaching almost 100k views in a month. The rebranding work she has been involved in is showing clear results with a more synchronised and unified look across all of our social channels. The workflow she has helped build, where one podcast recording is turned into multiple pieces of content, is beginning to scale smoothly. This has allowed us to increase output, create more consistent messaging and make better use of each recording session.

End of Year Celebration With Clients
The trip ended with an end of year celebration with clients that included karaoke, awards and plenty of time to connect. It was a great opportunity to look back at the progress Outposter has made, share what is coming next and spend time together in a relaxed setting outside the office.

Why This Trip Mattered
For a remote first organisation like Outposter, time together in person makes a real difference. Meeting your team early on builds trust, strengthens rapport, creates buy in for the broader vision, improves communication and sets a solid foundation for future collaboration.

This trip demonstrated how my values of connection and prosperity show up in practice. When people feel connected to each other, to the work and to the mission, it creates the conditions where prosperity can grow for everyone involved.
As a massive cricket lover, I also managed to squeeze in watching the first test of the summer while I was there, a bonus thanks to the Perth and Manila timezones lining up perfectly.

Heading Home With Clarity and Momentum
As the trip came to a close, I left with a clearer understanding of how we can work together moving forward, stronger alignment and a renewed appreciation for the team driving Outposter every day.
Here is to more strategy sessions and productive visits in the year ahead.
Until next time, Manila. 🇵🇭✨
