About the Company:
We are Profenso, an artificial intelligence startup focused on delivering solutions that help businesses scale by capturing informal and unstructured data from the internal experts. Established in September 2024, we’re a Brisbane based startup delivering AI consulting and products in the medical, engineering and fintech sectors.
I’ve been using AI and machine learning for over a decade for medical research in academia and consulting. My friend, and now co-founder, set me a challenge to automate this civil engineering design tasks using AI. While we were designing this capability, we realised that we could take the 3 core components of the solution, which are Capture, Expert Agent and Automation, and apply them to other areas that require highly skilled workers. The capture process allows us to shadow an industry expert as they work, taking the informal and unstructured data that they process and combine it with traditional, structured data to create an expert agent. This agent can be used to accelerate knowledge transfer and upskilling and then evolve into an automation of expert tasks.
Recent Highlight
We’ve recently announced the establishment of our Executive team and will shortly be announcing our advisory Board. We are very excited to have some serious expertise in our team that will drive our growth. Also we have just signed our first customer and will make an announcement shortly.
Why the Name:
It’s a bit of a funny story, before Vinnie joined us as chief commercial officer, he was advising Michal and I behind the scenes. In one of our catch ups, I proudly revealed the name of our startup, SoftOps. Let’s just say Vinnie wasn’t as enthusiastic as I was, hahaha. We spent the next hour talking through what we wanted to deliver for our customers and the ethos behind the company.
We are trying to distill expertise and knowledge from industry professionals, thus delivering AI as professional/skilled experts. I’ve also had an affinity for Ensō, a hand drawn circle in Zen art that symbolises an unachievable, lifelong pursuit of perfection. So Vinne helped identify these key components, joining Professional and Enso to become Profenso.
Ask from the Community:
We’re looking for problems to solve. For those businesses that don’t know where to start with AI, they’ve been told they don’t have the structured data to leverage AI, or even have a potential for growth but acquisition of extra head counts is prohibitively expensive or hard to find. Our team has implemented some really cool solutions to problems that seemed almost impossible, from advanced, bespoke RAG-based products to digital agents. We love sitting down with customers and hearing about their business and challenges and finding a way to help.
